About Me

I work across research, strategy, and engineering to understand complex problems and turn them into clear, useful digital products and systems.

That is usually more than building a website. The work sits where these disciplines meet, and connecting them is the useful part. 5+ years building digital experiences across independent, academic, and professional projects.

How I Can Help

Three connected areas of work. Each one draws on research, strategy, and engineering.

  1. 01

    Product Strategy & Engineering

I help founders and teams move from an idea to a working product: clarifying what to build, planning the MVP, choosing a sound technical architecture, and engineering web, mobile, and SaaS products that can keep evolving.

Product Discovery / Product Strategy / MVP Planning / Web Application Development

  2. 02

    Brand & Growth Strategy

I help founders and growing businesses clarify their positioning, shape their brand direction, and build the digital presence and growth systems that connect the brand to the right people.

Brand Strategy / Brand Positioning / Messaging Direction / Digital Strategy

  3. 03

    Startup & Venture Strategy

I help founders test ideas before committing to them: researching the market, validating the problem and the product, and shaping the business model, roadmap, and go-to-market plan.

How I Think

Research. Strategy. Engineering.

Not “give me a design, I'll code it.”

I start one step earlier: understand the problem, research the context, and get strategic clarity before product or brand decisions are made.

Then build, see how it's used, and keep improving it. Engineering is where the strategy gets tested.

  • Research Before Assumptions

Customer research, market analysis, experiments, and technical research come first, so the problem is understood before anything is designed or built.

  • Strategy Before Features

Findings become clear decisions about what to build, for whom, and why. Features follow the strategy, not the other way round.

  • Engineering That Fits

Architecture, tools, and implementation are chosen for the product, its users, its constraints, and where it needs to grow.

  • Brand & Growth Built In

Positioning, customer experience, and growth are part of the same decisions, so the product is shaped to create value, not just ship features.

Leadership & Building

Moving unclear ideas toward something real.

Not a title. Just how I work when a project needs someone to take ownership of it.

  • From ambiguity to execution

Taking loosely defined ideas and shaping them into scoped, buildable plans.

  • Product ownership

Caring about why something is built and whether it works, not only whether it ships.

  • Technical decision-making

Choosing architecture and tools that the product, budget, and people around it can sustain.

  • Connecting strategy with delivery

Keeping research, product, brand, and engineering decisions pointed at the same goal.

  • Learning and sharing

Mentoring young builders with CoderDojo Sri Lanka and volunteering with STEMUP Educational Foundation.

How I Work

A clear process
from idea to execution.

Every project is different, but the thinking follows the same path: from understanding the problem to learning from what gets built.

  1. 01

    Understand

Clarify the problem, context, goals, and constraints.

  2. 02

    Research

Study the users, market, systems, requirements, or evidence relevant to the problem.

  3. 03

    Define

Turn the findings into clear product, brand, or technical decisions.

  4. 04

    Build

Design, engineer, and implement the solution.

  5. 05

    Learn & Improve

Test, evaluate, and iterate based on evidence and feedback.

Research & Exploration

The questions I'm currently working through. Some will become research notes and writing. This is a direction, not a list of results.
