The Journey So Far

The moments behind the work.

The About page tells the story in brief. These are the events, people and responsibilities behind it, year by year.

It runs from developer-community events like Google DevFest Sri Lanka in 2022, through creative and event work with STEMUP Education Foundation and Coolest Projects Sri Lanka in 2024, to 2025: an AI and AI-security session for the Sri Lanka Signals Corps, knowledge sharing at EN2H, a startup incubator at Hatch, and the Editor role at SLIIT FCMU. In 2026, it turns towards research.

AI & Security Session for the Sri Lanka Signals Corps

I delivered a session for the Sri Lanka Signals Corps on how AI is used and on the security side of AI. It took place at the Defence Headquarters Complex (DHQC).

Why it mattered

Explaining AI to a professional audience meant being clear about both what it can do and where the risks are.

Editor, SLIIT FCMU

I took on the role of Editor, one of the top-board positions at SLIIT FCMU, for 2025–2026. At the 2025 AGM, I also mentored members of my team, walking them through the process and sharing what I'd learned.

Why it mattered

The role came with responsibility for other people's growth, not only for the work itself.

Through the startup Mochiforge, I joined an incubator programme at Hatch, run together with GIZ. We presented our ideas there and learned a great deal from Hasanka, who ran the Thuru programme.
